Does a non-native accent make what you say harder to remember? Not according to researchers at Washington University in St. Louis. Unlike the affect hearing loss has on memory, listening to accented speech does not appear to affect the listener's ability to remember what was said. Of course, if the listener could not understand the foreign speaker in the first place, the outcome would be different. Read more about it here.
